Editorial disclaimer

Derive offers general information, not individualized guidance.

The scope includes articles, guides, captions, downloadable resources, and general explanatory pages made available by Derive. It does not include a private assessment, a personal schedule, or a conclusion about an individual reader. A suggestion may be reasonable in one setting and unsuitable in another because of experience, environment, workload, or access to support. Readers should treat the date and context of each page as part of the information.

When a reader is uncertain about whether a suggestion fits, the conservative approach is to pause and obtain advice from an appropriately qualified local professional. Derive cannot review a reader's circumstances through a public form, comment, or ordinary email. The site does not ask for confidential records, and readers should not send them. A message can instead describe the page or wording that raised a question without disclosing private details.

External sources and links may change after publication, become unavailable, or present information under different terms. A citation shows the material considered by the writer; it does not make Derive responsible for the external operator's content or privacy practice. Contributors may have different backgrounds and perspectives, which are identified where relevant. The editorial team can update, annotate, or correct an article when the context changes.

Questions and correction requests are reviewed by the editorial desk rather than automatically treated as an individual consultation. We aim to acknowledge a message within 10 working days and provide a considered response within 30 calendar days. Correspondence is normally retained for 24 months after the last exchange, with access limited to the people handling the request. This disclaimer was reviewed on 14 October 2026 and is scheduled for review in October 2027.
