Terms of use
These terms describe the conditions for reading and using Derive.
1. Agreement
By accessing Derive, you agree to use the publication lawfully and respectfully. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. These terms apply to articles, guides, forms, and linked resources published in 2026.
2. Informational purpose
Derive publishes general education about movement and wellbeing. Content is not an individual assessment, personal plan, or promise of an outcome. Readers remain responsible for choosing appropriate support and pausing when a routine does not feel suitable.
3. Editorial content
We work to keep facts current and distinguish reporting, commentary, and practical suggestions. Dates and authors may be shown on article pages. Corrections can be reported through contact.php and are reviewed by the editorial desk.
4. Acceptable use
You may read, link to, and quote short passages with attribution. Do not scrape the site, overload it, misrepresent Derive, or use content to create a misleading service. Automated access that harms availability may be blocked.
5. Intellectual property
Unless noted otherwise, Derive owns or licenses the text, layout, photographs, and marks on this site. Permission requests should identify the material, proposed use, territory, and duration. A link alone does not transfer ownership.
6. User messages
You keep rights in material you send, while granting Derive permission to review and respond to it. Do not send confidential records or material you do not have permission to share. We may remove abusive, unlawful, or irrelevant submissions.
7. Links
Links may lead to independent sites with their own terms and privacy notices. Derive does not control those sites or guarantee their availability. A link is provided for reader context, not as an endorsement of every statement.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but maintenance, outages, or security measures may interrupt access. We may change, suspend, or remove a page when editorial or operational reasons require it. We will not use a false urgency message to encourage visits.
9. Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, Derive is not responsible for decisions made solely from general reading. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded. Questions about a particular situation should be directed to an appropriately qualified local person.
10. Privacy
Use of personal information is described in privacy.php. Cookie choices are explained in cookies.php. These documents form part of the site information and should be read together.
11. Governing context
These terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Indonesian law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A local court with proper jurisdiction may hear a dispute, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
12. Changes
These terms were updated 14 October 2026. We may revise them when the service, law, or editorial model changes. The effective date at the top will identify the current version.
13. Contact
Questions can be sent through contact.php or to 120 Cihampelas Street, Bandung, West Java 40131, Indonesia. Phone support is available at +62 22 731 8975 during ordinary weekday hours.
Use of the site also includes ordinary actions such as opening an article, following an internal link, sending a message, or adjusting an optional cookie choice. You are expected to keep contact information you submit accurate enough for a reply and to avoid using another person's identity. Parents or guardians should supervise any use by a young person where local rules require it. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indonesian law.
Content may be revised, archived, or temporarily unavailable when Derive corrects an error, updates a guide, improves accessibility, or performs maintenance. A dated page remains useful for understanding what was published at that time, but readers should review the current version before relying on an older link. We may use ordinary security controls such as rate limits, access logs, and form filtering to protect availability. Those controls may occasionally delay a legitimate request, which can be reported through contact.php.
Permission for quotations is limited to a fair, identifiable excerpt that does not imply Derive's endorsement of a separate service. Reproducing a complete article, removing attribution, or adapting a page into a competing publication normally requires written permission. Requests should include the URL, excerpt, intended audience, territory, duration, and whether the use is commercial. Derive will respond to a permission request within 30 days where practical.
If a disagreement concerns an article, a correction, a message, or site access, first contact the editorial desk with the relevant page and a clear description. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 10 working days and review it within 30 calendar days. These terms were reviewed on 14 October 2026 and will be checked in October 2027 or sooner if the publication model, relevant law, or technical service changes. The current address is 120 Cihampelas Street, Bandung, West Java 40131, Indonesia, and the phone number is +62 22 731 8975.
The agreement covers ordinary reading, linking, form use, downloads, and access from a phone, tablet, or computer. It does not transfer ownership of the site or create a representation that every external resource is suitable for every reader. Where a feature has separate instructions, those instructions form part of these terms only to the extent they do not conflict with mandatory law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate.
Readers should consider the date and context of each article before applying a suggestion to their own routine. Derive does not receive enough information through a general form to make a personal assessment, and a contributor's experience is not a promise about another person's experience. A reader can pause, modify, or decline a suggestion when it does not fit the setting. Questions requiring individual consideration should be directed to an appropriately qualified local professional.
Content may be corrected, archived, or temporarily withdrawn to address an error, a source update, accessibility work, or maintenance. The original publication date may remain visible so that the history of a page is understandable. Short quotations should retain attribution and enough surrounding context to avoid a misleading impression. Permission requests are assessed using the material, proposed audience, territory, duration, and whether the use is commercial.
Messages are reviewed for relevance and can be removed where they contain another person's private information, abusive language, unlawful material, or a request that the site cannot safely handle. Sending a message does not require a reader to provide confidential records. Derive may retain a limited record of a moderation or rights decision for 24 months so that repeated requests can be handled consistently. That record is not published as a reader profile.
Operational logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting, while ordinary correspondence may be retained for 24 months after the last exchange. Providers supporting hosting, email delivery, security, or optional grouped measurement may process limited data under their own service agreements. Some providers may operate outside Indonesia, with transfer safeguards considered before use. Questions about these terms can be sent to 120 Cihampelas Street, Bandung, West Java 40131, Indonesia, or +62 22 731 8975; Derive aims to acknowledge a complaint within 10 working days and review it within 30 calendar days. These terms were reviewed on 14 October 2026 and are scheduled for review in October 2027.
